Lighthouse Park

A short seaside walk for the whole family

Lighthouse Park - Distance 6 km. Elevation gain : small High point 115 m. Time : 1 1/2 -2 hrs. Ther are two ways to get to the start of this trail . Drive past Park Royal Shopping center and follow Marine Drive past Caufeild Cove & look for a street called Beacon Lane on your left . Or drive the Upper Levels hwy. to Eagle Ridge turnoff . Cross the hwy. and follow it down the hill to Marine Drive and turn right , look for Beacon Lane about 3 km. ahead and on your right . This one is for the romantics . There are a number of trails that take you around the park . To make your way down to the shore , follow the main trail down to the rock bluff . Climb on the bluff and you can see the lighthouse , near the fence is a small trail that will take you to the rocks . If this is to hard for your loved one . I suggest you take the side trail at the rock bluff ( this heads off west into the bush ) stay on this easy trail and it will bring you out to the ocean . Windy days in the fall are great at this spot . Find a sheltered spot in the rocks , sit back and watch the ferries but PLEASE don't feed those " rats with wings " . Rating 1 View 2
